Your content, voiced for Japan.
Enlight Echo is a Japanese localization studio led by a multilingual Hollywood actor. Translation, casting, recording, and mixing — one team, accountable end to end.
What we do
Japanese dubbing for YouTube
Adaptive translation and performance that carry the original's charge, not a literal reading. Built for high volume and tight turnarounds. Japanese subtitles (SRT) delivered with the audio.
Vertical short-drama dubbing
Casting, script prep, lip-synced recording, and mixing by a professional audio team. Built for the episode counts these platforms actually run at — delivered on schedule.
Narration & voice-over
Corporate, e-learning, documentary, games. Bilingual EN/JA recording — from a clean broadcast read to fully in character, dialects included.
AI voice & TTS
Recording and talent coordination for speech-synthesis and voice-data projects. Every age, gender and regional accent — each voice a working actor in a professional space.
Market research & localization strategy
Dubbing is only half of reaching Japan. On request, we can also advise creators on how their content actually performs here — revenue realities by market, discoverability, and the metadata and thumbnail decisions that determine whether a Japanese audience ever finds them.
Our strengths
Professionals at every link
Translators, voice actors, mixing engineers — everyone on a project is a working professional, our founder included. There is no weak link where the work quietly gets cheaper.
One team, end to end
Translation, casting, recording and mixing are coordinated in-house. No hand-offs between vendors — revisions come back fast and quality holds steady across episodes.
Volume without drift
Our production systems come from long-running weekly schedules across several titles at once. Scale and deadline pressure are the normal condition here, not an exception we brace for.

From the founder
A dub isn't a translation with a microphone in front of it. When it works, a Japanese viewer stops noticing there was ever another language — the jokes land on their own terms, the timing breathes, the performance carries the same charge as the original. Getting there is craft, and it's the part of this work I care about most.
I care about it because a voice does more than carry words. Pitch, breath, the pace of a line — these reach the listener's mind and body before they reach their understanding. I've spent years studying that link from the practitioner's side: film and voice acting, Noh theatre, classical Japanese martial arts, yoga, Tibetan Buddhist practice and meditation — disciplines that each, in their own way, hold voice, breath, body and mind to be inseparable, each one continually shaping the others.
I don't think we've come close to exhausting what a human voice can do.
We work with AI voice too, and I don't see it as the opposite of that. New technology doesn't wait to be argued with — the car didn't ask the carriage's permission — and I'd rather move with it than against it. What it does, better than anything, is sharpen the question of what only a human voice can do.
(I've said a lot of serious things here but underneath all of it is a lifelong love of anime.)
